Grand Theft Auto Sale
August 25th 2008 05:30
Video Game publisher Electronic Arts Inc. is reportedly about to attempt a not-so-hostile takeover of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., designers of the hit, Grand Theft Auto.
EA has confirmed that they will begin discussion of “strategic alternatives” soon. Take-Two is asking for about $2 billion, which is in the order of $25 per share.
"They are both posturing," said Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter. "EA is saying 'we want to pay less,' Take-Two is saying they want more. The important thing is that they are talking."
