Seagate's "perpendicular" solution
April 19th 2006 00:35
With the increasing limitations of regular hard drives, the need for higher capacity in standard-sized drives is also increasing. Well, Seagate has the answer - the new 3.5" Perpendicular Recording Drive.
Capacities ranging from 73GB, 147GB, and 300GB will be available on one, two, and four platters, respectively. Data transfer speeds will range between 73 to 125 Mbps, a 30 per cent leap from the predecessors.
